Dr. Braslow is experienced in meeting for medication management and psychotherapy via secure video for adults, parents, and adolescents. As long as you have a high-quality internet connection and privacy, the material covered and treatment plan enacted is virtually identical to what would take place if the meeting took place in the office.
Per DEA regulations, Dr. Braslow must meet with you in the office at least once before a controlled substance (examples: stimulant medications for ADHD, such as Ritalin or Adderall; or benzodiazepines for anxiety, such as Ativan or Klonopin) may be prescribed. Please let us know when setting up your appointment if you think this will apply to you. NOTE: This regulation is currently waived due to COVID.
Child/adolescent patient considerations:
- Adolescents: May be present on a different video source than the parent, as long as the parent is available to join in.
- Children: Dr. Braslow does not meet with children via secure video without a parent physically present next to the child.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions about meeting via secure video.
